UN Women Finland is developing its fundraising in Salesforce with Ceili
The UN’s gender equality organization UN Women is the world’s leading organization advocating for the human rights of women and girls, with the goal of a world where there are equal rights and opportunities for all. Over 200 development projects in more than 90 countries form a wide network and support opportunities for many.
UN Women Finland is the national committee of UN Women, working on fundraising as well as communication and advocacy efforts to promote equality. This work is supported by Salesforce, for the maintenance of which a functional and agile Support Service Partner was needed, and it brought together UN Women Finland and Ceili.
What does UN Women Finland do with Salesforce?
Salesforce is used by UN Women Finland as a CRM system where donor, membership, and donation information is stored. Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack, designed for nonprofit organizations, plays a crucial role in the organization’s use of the platform.
*The most common donation types managed in Salesforce by UN Women Finland include monthly donations, one-time donations, corporate donations, and testamentary donations. In addition, the organization’s fundraising includes collections organized by local committees. The largest campaigns are Women’s Days and Orange Days.
UN Women Finland communicates via its website and social media channels. Additionally, current news about the organization’s activities can be followed by subscribing to their newsletter. Beyond these, UN Women Finland also coordinates the Women, Peace, and Security network in Finland.

How can Ceili help as a Salesforce partner?
Ceili not only handles Salesforce implementations but also offers customized solutions and support and minor development services. In UN Women Finland’s case, the support services have included resolving reporting challenges and addressing issues in the existing implementation. Error situations related to donations such as the payment processing must be resolved quickly which is why it is important to have a good Salesforce partner. Additionally, UN Women Finland has received general support for Salesforce use and minor development services from Ceili.
Some of the larger development projects have included:
- Implementation of the Enhanced Recurring Donation feature
- A complete process for receiving direct payment orders from an external system
- Implementation of Ceili’s GoPDF product
- Creation of direct payment orders in the system in connection with telemarketing and electronic signature of orders
Converting assignment forms from paper to electronic format and automating their processing into customer data within the system significantly reduces the workload of customer service. It also simplifies the process of becoming a monthly donor from the donor’s perspective. Which increases the number of new donors. With Ceili GoPDF tool, electronic orders are converted into PDF format, allowing the different development solutions to work smoothly together.
